Standards Driven Process in Education
Presentation The adjustments in training saw lately have seen the development of standard based guidance in schools across America. This new pattern has its underlying foundations in speculations of cognitivism and constructivism which have re-imagined the procedure of learning.Advertising We will compose a custom exposition test on Standards Driven Process in Education explicitly for you for just $16.05 $11/page Learn More The conversations introduced in this paper will quickly feature the essential standards of these hypotheses, the exploration that has added to the turn of events and the qualities and confinements of every hypothesis in guidance plan. Likewise the a portion of the models and ideas utilized in every hypothesis will be introduced. Subjective Science Theory: Basic Principles According to psychological scholars the point of view assumes a significant job in learning and watched changes in conduct give markers to what exactly is happening in the students mind. This met hodology likewise puts significance on association of critical thinking and organizing exercises to empower understudies to process data on a more profound level taking into account its reuse in various issues. This hypothesis incorporates ideas, for example, inward information structure, data preparing model that follow the procedure from improvements to information and a few impacts that influence learning (Koohang and Harman, 2007).Examples in training practice incorporate PC projects, for example, Logo: Microworlds Pro and Plato math program. Psychological Science Theory: Research and Findings The intellectual science hypothesis can be followed to crafted by the speculations of observation as cutting edge by Plato and Aristotle and endeavors to clarify the idea of human information. These ideas were later cutting-edge by the French clinician and logician, J. Piaget (Phillips and Soltis, 2007). Piagetââ¬â¢s work was the reason for future improvements by J. Bruner, who reasoned that learning was a procedure of creating classes of data that can be reused in future (Koohang and Harman, 2007). This hypothesis which based on the discoveries of behaviorism started to impact instructional plan around the 70ââ¬â¢s. A few models worked around this hypothesis incorporate Collins Stevens request showing model, ARCââ¬â¢s model of inspiration and part show model. In the request encouraging model depends on sane procedure of inquiries, answers and conversation among students and educators. The ARCââ¬â¢s model proposes four conditions to encourage adapting in particular consideration, importance, certainty and satisfaction.Advertising Looking for paper on training? The part configuration model uses segment structure hypothesis as the reason f or exercise plan. Intellectual Science Theory: Values and Limitation The objective of encouraging students to play out an errand in a predictable way is a viable way to deal with learning. The procedure once comprehended can be reused in different cases. The inconvenience is however the student figures out how to carry out a responsibility the strategy may not be the best technique for playing out the assignment. A similar technique may bomb when reused in different territories (Mergel, 1989). Furthermore this hypothesis has contributed fundamentally to gauges based training. The proof of this is seen in state sanctioned tests, for example, K-12 that are generally being used across America today. A further commitment is the responsibility required from establishments. The responsibility rehearses expect foundations to be responsible for execution. Constructivism Theory: Basic Principles Proponents of this hypothesis contend that students assemble their own existence or possibly deci pher data dependent on singular encounters. This would propose that information depends on related knowledge, mental structures and convictions used to decipher occasions (Mergel, 1989). It is conceivable to accept along these lines that the learning procedure is accomplished through investigation to assemble observation. By and by this would require certifiable case based learning conditions, empower setting and substance subordinate information and bolster cooperation as contradicted t rivalry. Constructivism Theory: Research and Findings Constructivism has its underlying foundations in philosophical and mental hypotheses progressed by Bruner, Ulrick, Neiser, Goodman, Kant, Kuhn, Dewey and Habermas. The most huge supporter was J. Piaget whose work was stretched out by von Glasserfield (Mergel, 1989). A portion of the models utilized in constructivist instructional structure incorporate Action learning, Case based learning, CSILEââ¬â¢s and Goal based situations among others. Act ivity learning is a procedure that unites people to tackle issues and in the process it helps the two people and the associations. Case based learning expects students to be given contextual analyses to examine and react to and comprehend the problem.Advertising We will compose a custom exposition test on Standards Driven Process in Education explicitly for you for just $16.05 $11/page Learn More CSILEââ¬â¢s is a sort PC gathering where students construct databases utilizing individual to amass as opposed to individual to singular connection. This is an aggregate learning experience that expects students to do objective setting, arranging and critical thinking. Constructivism Theory: Values and Limitation The principle confinement of this hypothesis is in examples where similarity is required the dissimilar reasoning could be hazardous. Be that as it may, it is profitable since students can comprehend various discernments they become progressively skilled to genuine situations. I mproved critical thinking aptitudes can be applied in numerous everyday issues. In principles based instruction this hypothesis has added to the improvement of educational programs and in educator preparing. The educational program being used at present contains discerning substance, for example, contextual analyses and examination to use learnerââ¬â¢s recognition in learning. Development and Change in Standards Based Education Standards based training has profited by the two hypotheses and their execution to instructional plan and instruction. Proof of this is introduced in the new responsibility norms being used in America. The students and educators are relied upon to be in the same spot and establishments would now be able to be considered responsible for understudy execution. The educational program formed that contemplate intellectual properties and observation focus on high and more profound degrees of comprehension. Study hall guidance can be placed in accordance with app raisal norms to guarantee students can fulfill the needs. A case of this is apparent in exercise study rehearses. These exercise considers give direct understanding on why gauges based guidance is powerful. References Finch, G. (1960). Instruction and Training Media. Does the first Amendment affect your livelihood? Essay
Does the primary Amendment influence your job? Well not sureâ⬠¦Is water wet? Is the grass green? Do skittles come in various hues? Do we by any chance truly need to inquire? Obviously it doesâ⬠¦.The first Amendment is significant for a ton of reasons, one being that it permits us to show our distinction and uniqueness. On the off chance that we werenââ¬â¢t permitted to communicate, be it recorded as a hard copy moving, parody, and numerous different ways, at that point our singularity and uniqueness could never be seen. We should be careless automatons. We as a whole need rights to live our lives the manner in which we need. We could simply experience life following whatever every other person instructs us to do, fit in with what is the white-overwhelmed government, or we can stand firm to fight our privileges with the opportunity of serenely to gather. This is the thing that the African Americans did just a few decades prior, and on the off chance that they hadnââ¬â¢t, at that point the world we live in now would be totally unique. I (being Asian) wouldnââ¬â¢t be heading off to a similar school as my companion (which is white). They would isolate us and separate again me; since I would be considered ââ¬Å"coloredâ⬠. Presently thatââ¬â¢s distinctive I can be companions with whom ever I need, all in view of the main Amendment. Without it if something awful was going on around you, you wouldnââ¬â¢t have the option to take care of business. Another motivation behind why the main Amendment is significant is a result of the right to speak freely. Without the right to speak freely of discourse we wouldnââ¬â¢t have the option to communicate out emotions. And furthermore I wouldnââ¬â¢t be here expounding on it at this point. Some may think thatââ¬â¢s something to be thankful for, yet think about the alternativeâ⬠¦if there was no first correction I would be the individual I am today, I would of never figured out how to decipher the world how I would have preferred to, and break down realities and information of regular daily existence the manner in which I see fits. I for one, talk out of terms by and large and state stuff that shouldnââ¬â¢t be stated, yet for my advantage the way that I can say the stuff and not be placed in prison for it really is ideal. I mean I could circumvent saying I loathe the president on the off chance that I needed to and it would have been alright (by the path I in certainty do accept the president is a finished moron however thatââ¬â¢s irrelevant). Much the same as the individuals do in shows like MAD and Saturday Night Live. What's more, on the off chance that they were boycott, at that point you know MTV and VH1 would be the close to go. Envision an existence where Tupac and Biggie never existed. They were motivation to numerous individuals of today. Their melodies and what they expounded on contacted many individuals, it would be horrible if there was a law keeping them from doing their thing. Also, the right to speak freely of discourse obliges opportunity of the press. Where the media pick what they need to state and how they do it. We need the media to decide numerous things and the media gives us an understanding on whatââ¬â¢s occurring the world over and permits us to put our own view on it. Additionally without opportunity of the press we would have always been unable to peruse Huckleberry Finn. That book was exceptionally dubious and it was additionally restricted from numerous libraries and school, yet a year ago we despite everything were permitted to understand it and it has widen our perspectives regarding numerous matters. Another correct that the principal revision gives us is the opportunity of religion. This specific right influences me by and by, in light of the fact that I have decided not to have a religion. Be that as it may, regardless of whether I needed to have one I could pick the one I pick and not need to stay with whatever was advised to pick. In any case, if I somehow managed to be determined what my religion was chances are it would be Christianity, in light of the fact that a great many people in America is Christian. You see Christianity all over the place, even in our days off! Christmas will never look the equivalent again (doesnââ¬â¢t truly matter however, Iââ¬â¢m in it for the presents, as are most youngsters). Most importantly in that specific religion you need to trust in God and the entire thing about Jesus, so that would be an issue considering I donââ¬â¢t put stock in god. Presently individuals may state that it doesnââ¬â¢t matter, they donââ¬â¢t sit in front of the TV in any case who cares. Or then again dislike the read the paper, so it doesnââ¬â¢t matter. What's more, they donââ¬â¢t tune in to music, never requested of against anything, and yakkity yak blahâ⬠¦.They donââ¬â¢t understand that they are underestimating their privileges. Consider the possibility that that day comes where you have to stand up for yourself and youâ canââ¬â¢t in light of the fact that thereââ¬â¢s a law forestalling it, what at that point. I might simply want to end this by saying without opportunity of right we would not have the option to live in this world. The conditions that would be the impacts of no opportunity would be terrible. The first correction influences our live in quite a while than you might suspect.

Properties: The most important piece of the plant utilized is the nicotine, which is found in all parts aside from the seed. The centralization of nicotine increments with the age of the plant. Item Influences: Nicotiana Tobaccum is most regularly connected with cigarettes. The item that has most affected our general public inside and out, including universally. It has been said by Statistics Canada that 21.5% of Canadians are smokers. That is more than 6 million smokers. Measurements Canada, likewise expresses that in 2002, about 38.4 billion cigarettes were sold in Canada, which shockingly is a 9% decrease from the prior year. Likewise, there were 45,215 passings in Canada alone a year ago because of smoking related sicknesses. As should be obvious, smoking hugy affects for our entire lives, on the grounds that regardless of whether you don't smoke, used smoke is far more detestable. There are more than 3,000 passings by non-smokers as a result of recycled smoke, and a large number of other people who get respiratory issues. Tobacco has radically changed peopleââ¬â¢s personal satisfaction, for the more regrettable. There are more than 48,000 effectively forestalled passings, every year. It likewise hurts our condition, because of the contamination is causes which again brings down our personal satisfaction. Furthermore, ultimately, tobaccoââ¬â¢s effect on the economy is sadly, making a difference. Since all tobacco items are vigorously burdened, the administration gets a great deal of cash from smokers. Internationally it is the equivalent, as in Canada, just on a more extensive scale, with more individuals kicking the bucket, more cigarettes being sold, and more cash for the legislatures. Innovation Research Expenses: There are numerous expenses related with tobacco items. Socially, and monetarily doctor's visit expenses brought about by smoking passings and sicknesses are high, it is evaluated at $75 billion in the U.S alone are the clinical expenses related with smoking. Additionally, there are extremely significant expenses caused from the legitimate angle, individuals suing tobacco organizations. Besides the expense of smoking as a rule, due to the wellbeing hazard, the legislature has raised the assessments on tobacco items and now supporting your propensity is pricey. New Research: Again, the new research originates from Kentucky, where they are attempting to discover new uses for the tobacco plant. By utilizing ââ¬Å"molecular farming,â⬠they are adding new qualities to deliver new accommodating items like immunizations, medications, and chemicals for mechanical employments. Researchers are attempting to advance the benefits of tobacco by growing new markets and new clients for the ââ¬Å"new quality upgraded tobacco.â⬠A few inquiries I have about the issue: In the event that the tobacco plant is noxious, is the consequence of more than 48,000 passings in Canada alone (consistently), is a propensity that hurts others around you through used smoke. For what reason are governments permitting the item to be sold? Technology:Jobs in the tobacco business have being declining a result of new innovation. Machines are proceeding to assume control over the occupations that once utilized numerous laborers. Likewise in light of all the new control strategies, the industry is getting littler. In any case, in creating nations, the tobacco business is on the ascent, since they don't have any control approaches that influence the peopleââ¬â¢s work. The World Health Organization is chipping away at making the approaches around the world, yet it might take some time. The arrangements state: 1. ââ¬Å"Assisting, as fitting, tobacco laborers in the improvement of suitable monetarily and lawfully practical elective jobs in a financially reasonable way; and 2. Assisting, as fitting, tobacco cultivators in moving agrarian creation to elective yields in a financially reasonable way; â⬠Profession Connections Occupations: Farmer-liable for the land (planting, developing tobacco) Regular Worker (reaping the harvest) Assembly line laborer (Curing, drying the tobacco, packaging) Promoting (planning the bundle, format of magazine advertisements, making mottos.) Deals (selling the items) Instructive Background for Farming: On the off chance that you will be answerable for the land being utilized to develop and reap tobacco plants, a general horticulture degree is significant. There are numerous courses that Universities offer that have to do with horticulture and cultivating. On the whole, you have to have a solid science foundation in light of the fact that the cultivating occupation requires the information on plants and creatures and it is an essential for the vast majority of the courses in University. A Bachelor of Science in horticulture, a program that is offered at numerous colleges including Lethbridge, British Columbia, McGill, Saskatchewan, Western, and Nova Scotia is the course important to turn into an effective ranch proprietor. Pages Versus Google Docs Apple or Google Writing Software, Which Is Better
Theres no doubt that Apple and Microsoft are two of the dominantà software giants in the market today. For Mac users, Apple hasà the iWork software suite, which includes Apple Pages. The comparable software suite for PC users is Microsoft Office. Microsoft has done a LOT of experimentation in recent years with offerings such as Office 365 and Microsoft Online in an attempt to provide the collaborative sharing needed by businesses and individual users. These two software giants have recently made it easier for Mac users to get access to MS Word. Pages is also available for iOS devices and as a cloud-based app which works for PC users. But theres a relatively new kid that has crept somewhat quietly into the office software block, and that is Google. In fact, you may already be using Google Docs, and other offerings like Google Calendar and Google Drive. These are all part of Googles software package G Suite, a software suite that parallels the offerings of MS Office and Apple iWork. Pages versus Google Docs-Get Up and Running Because G Suite was cloud-based from the start, users quickly discovered that Google Docs could be collaborative in real-time. You can get free access to Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, along with Google Drive storage simply by opening a Google account with an email address. In fact, if you already have a Gmail account, you may already be using parts of G Suite without even realizing it. Its that easy to use and completely free. For those who need more storage, there is an option to upgrade G Suite to 1 TB per userà for $10 monthly. With the upgrade, you also get an ad-free business email with a customized email yourname@yourdomain.com instead of one ending in gmail.com. Apple Pages is also available for PC users as a cloud-based app, called Pages for iCloud. Its quick and easy to get access to Pages. Simply set up an Apple ID using your name and email address. Verify your email address, enter the code provided, and you can access Pages as a cloud-based app from your PC, Mac, or iOS devices. I followed this process to access Pages for iCloud on my PC, to get a first-hand look at this article. So, for this Pages vs Google Docs review, I accessed both iCloud Pages on my PC and Google Docs and simply poked around a bit playing with the available features. Here is what I found: Pages Versus Google Docs: Look and Feel When comparing the look, and feel of the user interface in Pages versus Google Docs, youll find many similarities. Google Docs more closely resembles a scaled down MS Word interface, complete with pull-down file menus like in Word. Both Pages and Google Docs are word processingà programs. But they are designed to be just the basics, without all the page layout and formatting options that most people dont take full advantage of in MS Word anyhow. I was able to quickly insert, modify, and then delete a table in Pages and Google Docs, something that always seemed to be fraught with frustration in Word. As a long-time MS Word user, I found the Google Docs screen and file menu very familiar. The iCloud Pages app immediately looked and felt very foreign to me, and this initially threw me off a bit. But I dove in, and within minutes I could quickly format my document, almost quicker than in MS Word which Im very comfortable using. So, I can confidently say that when considering the learning curve of Pages versus Google Docs, Pages wins out hands down. I had two minor frustrations with both Pages and Google Docs. As a heavy MS Word user, I have come to rely on the formatting available through the right click menu, mainly copy and paste features. For both Pages and Google Docs, you must use the Ctrl-X and Ctrl-V keyboard commands to copy and paste. Not a huge deal,à but it did slow me down at first. Also, both Pages and Google Docs save your file automatically and dont ask you to name your file before you get started. Google Docs does have a rename option on the file menu which is helpful. In Pages, files are named untitled, untitled 1, untitled 2 initially. You must exit the editing screen, click the file you just finished editing and give it a name. If you arent diligent about renaming files, you could end up checking multiple files name untitled 1, 2, etc. to find the file you want. Pages vs Google Docs-Import/Export In comparing file compatibility for Pages versus Google Docs, both programs seem to hold their own. In Google Docs, you can export into a .docx,. odt, rtf, .txt, html, zipped (web page), or even a .epub file formats. Note: I was able to create a file in both Pages and Google Docs, download it as an MS Word file and then open it using MS Word with no funkiness or conversion issues at all. I see this compatibility as a huge plus for anyone looking to switch from MS Word when it comes to Pages versus Google Docs. Pages for iOS lets you export to .docx (Word), .pdf (PDF), and a .epub (E publication) and open files in Pages 05 or later, plain text (.txt), or MS Word-Office Open XLM (.docx) and .doc (Office 97 or later). Mac or PC versions of Pages have additional file format capability when exporting. Pages vs Google Docs-Helpful Features When it comes to the standard word processing features that most users will need regularly, Pages and Google Docs both make the grade. In doing my review of both programs, I found the following helpful features in each program: Apple Pages Format Window Find Replace Search Feature Comments Word Count Pages Editorright side window Share easily with collaborators via email link to document in iCloud Google Docs Editing as in MS Word using toolbar, pull down menus Suggestion Mode (changes you make become suggestions only for other users) Explore feature-right side window which suggests additional websites and relevant information as resources. Tons of Add-ons available to help polish writing and skills Share via Google Drive with collaborators (real time edits) For writers who struggle with MS Word or who dont need all its powerful page layout capabilities, theres no harm in some exploration. You can get access to Pages or Google Docs quickly and easily on your Mac, PC, or iOS device without negatively impacting your current setup at all. Give one or both a try, they are free or low cost, and your writing productivity may thank you for it one day soon!

What Are You Going to Do After You Graduate
No matter where you go to school, what youre majoring in, where you live, or what kind of college experience youve had, youre likely to face an all-too-common question as Graduation Day approaches: So, what are you going to do after you graduate? While this question is often coming from a well-intentioned person, being asked multiple times can become a bit dishearteningââ¬âespecially if your post-graduation plans arent solidified. So what can you say that offers a polite response without divulging too much about your personal life? Im Still Deciding This answer lets folks know that youre actively engaged in a decision-making process. You might have a variety of options on the table or are choosing between two different directionsââ¬âlike graduate school or work, for example. Additionally, it lets folks know that you are exploring the choices available to you instead of just passively waiting to see whats going to happen. Im Giving Myself Until (Upcoming Date) to Decide This can be a great deflector of peoples nosiness because it lets folks know that youre currently in the process of deciding, you have a date in mind, and you dont necessarily need advice until that point in time. Im Talking to the Career Counselors at School About My Options Lots of people like to give advice to current or recent college graduates, which can be great. However, not all of the advice you receive can be helpful or constructive. Letting people know that youre talking with administrators who are professionally trained to offer career advice can be a gentle way to let them know that youre already receiving advice from others -- and, consequently, dont necessarily need any more at this moment. Im Focusing on Making the Most of My College Experience Right Now Remember, its perfectly okay not to know what youre going to do after college. That decision can, in fact, wait until you really do graduate. College is a stressful, intense journey, and letting people know that youre focusing on being successful in that process before turning to the next phase in your life is perfectly acceptable. Im Talking With a Few People About Some Opportunities You dont have to be specific, and you dont have to name names. But letting someone know that you already have some conversations going on with other people can gently deflect a series of questioning you might not feel like answering. Im Giving Myself Some Time to Think About It Spending some time genuinely thinking about and strategically planning for your post-college plans isnt lazy; its important. And some people might want to give themselves some time to focus on such an important decision while not also trying to juggle college classes and other obligations. If you have the luxury of being able to take some time to be mindful about where you want your post-college life to go, dont be shy about admitting that. I Want to Go to Graduate School This lets people know that you have plans for graduate school and are actively working to figure out how to make those plans a reality. Additionally, it lets people know that you are already in the process of working out the details, which may mean full-time work, an internship, or time off studying for an entrance exam. Regardless of the specifics, this answer lets folks know that you already have plans in motion. Im Looking for a Job as a (Potential Career Choice) Using the What are you doing after graduation? question as a networking opportunity isnt cheatingââ¬âits smart. If you want to go into a certain field or work for a certain company, get the word out. Dont be shy about telling people what youre looking for and what youre interested in. Doing so is an important form of networking, and you never know who might be able to help you get your foot in the door somewhere. Im Going to Help My Family Out for a While This can mean youre working for your familys business or that youre going home to help care for a sick family member. And while you dont need to share the details if you dont want to, mentioning that youll be supporting your family in one form or another lets people know that you already have plans in the works. Im Not Sure and Im Open to Suggestions People who ask about your post-graduation plans are likely experiencing several things: They genuinely care about you and want to know what youll be doing after college. They want to give you advice. They think they can help you in some way. Or theyre just nosy and want to know what the skinny is. No matter the details, it never hurts to hear what someone else has to say. You never know who might provide a gem of insight that sparks a personal epiphany for you or that provides a connection you werent expecting. No matter what your plans are, after all, theres no reason to shy away from an opportunity to make things more solid and secure.

Instead, admissions areà based primarily on an eligibility index that combines GPA and test scores. Minimum high school course requirements include two years of history and social science, four years of college prep English, three years of math, two years of laboratory science, one year of visual or performing arts, and one year of a college preparatory elective. The reasons why an applicant with adequate scores and grades would be rejected tends to come down to factors such as i nsufficient college preparatory classes, high school classes that werent challenging, or an incomplete application. Be aware that California State University, Fullerton is designated asà impactedà because it receives more applications than can be accommodated. Due to impaction, the university holds all applicants to a higher standard. In addition, particularly competitive majors such as Nursing, Computer Engineering, Music, and Dance, have additional requirements for eligibility. The majority of accepted students had GPAs of 3.0 or higher, SAT scores (ERWM) of 950 or higher, and ACT scores of 18 or higher. Higher numbers will obviously improve your chances, and note that the middle of the graph does have some red (rejected students) hidden behind the blue and green. Some students with grades and test scores on target for CSUF still get rejected. The Hebrew And Christian Religious Traditions Essay
The Hebrew and Christian religious traditions have a storied history of experiencing revelations, specifically Apocalyptic writings. Some examples of these visions include, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Johnââ¬â¢s Revelation, and Julianââ¬â¢s Revelations of Love. Yet, the question remains, how credible these revelations are, especially the newer ones? If the Old Testament is taken as credible, then the New Testament and any subsequent writings must align with the Old Testament. Isaiahââ¬â¢s apocalyptic and messianic prophecies are centered in Isaiah 24 through 27. Batter My Heart Essay Research Paper I free essay sample
Batter My Heart Essay, Research Paper I was wholly blown off by John Donne # 8217 ; s Batter My Heart. I usually enjoy poesy more than any other Literary signifier, and this verse form was no exclusion, aside from the fact it meant more than any other. When the verse form was foremost introduced to me in category, I was really impressed and profoundly intrigued. With every personal reading of the work in the text, I draw something new from it. I believe this verse form has caused in me more thought and self-inspection than any other verse form I have of all time encountered. The followers will be the ideas and feelings evoked within me by this verse form. Each word is a contemplation of what I now can see by my reading of Batter My Heart. In every person a conflict between good and evil is invariably happening. Inside one who is a Christian, the conflicts seem to be more frequently, and more intense than in those without Christ. I believe the ground for this is that Satan has no demand to do hurting to those who have no 1 besides him. For Christians, the Satan # 8217 ; s end is to do us to fall and neglect in whatever manner possible, so that we can non be effectual informants for Christ. Besides added to the conflict is the fact that the Lord allows, and frequently sends, tests to come our manner. In Donne # 8217 ; s Batter My Heart, # 8221 ; he suitably and to the full describes the multiple paradoxes found in the hard act of being a Christian and loving Christ wholly. These paradoxes intrigued me. None of them had of all time occurred to me before my reading of the verse form, and my apprehension of each paradox grew each and every clip I read. The word use in this verse form was enormous and highly successful in conveying the writer s ideas and feelings where God is concerned. I felt what he was believing as if I was believing along with him. Donne asked God to buffet my bosom # 8230 ; In this, I found myself praying, Break my bosom, Lord. Before You start to repair me, I must be absolutely broken before You. It is merely by being broken that a individual can be healed. Without first being broken, there is non even a demand for mending. The day-to-day breakage of our Black Marias brings about our day-to-day healing. It is in our failing that His strength can most be shown efficaciously. That I may lift and stand, oerthrow me # 8230 ; . Until we have fallen, we have no demand to lift. We ask Him to strike hard us down and do us stumble, so that He may raise us up. No new birth can come without some sum of hurting. In our religious lives, hurting and trouble must come before growing can happen. God uses the battles in our lives, and either allows or brings adversities upon us for our ageless good. I, like an usurped town, to another due # 8230 ; I am like a captured individual, who wants to be with the Lord, but can non to the full give myself to Him because of my bonds to Satan. I am in his evil appreciation. Yet the Christian knows that he should be true to the Lord. Reason tells us that He is the 1 for us, yet unluckily, ground does non ever win. This ground should support us, but it frequently shows itself as weak or untrue. We rea lize we should do it our end to be like Him and be true to Him, and this is what we most desire. Even so, when we who are trusters strive to demo how much we love our Lord, and seek to turn out ourselves, we normally find failure as the terminal consequence. Our iniquitous desires frequently win over our desire to love Jesus more. Though we want to set Him foremost in our lives, and seek to, we normally fail miserably. Jesus is our first love, yet our Black Marias remain untrue to Him. We are fornicatresss, rip offing on our bosom s foremost love to play around with our other lover, the Satan. Equally much as we would wish to, and fantastic as it would be, we can non interrupt off the battle we have with Satan. We are attached # 8211 ; betrothed # 8211 ; to the Satan, even when we are Christians, merely because of our sin nature. Our rolling Black Marias fall back into his evil weaponries excessively frequently for our ain good. Daily, we must to inquire to be separated from Satan. Our supplication must be for Jesus to repossess our Black Marias, so that He holds us in His loving appreciation, instead than leting the immorality one to maintain his clasp on us. This is an act of day-to-day swearing that He will protect us from our opprobrious bride-to-be. If merely we could interrupt off the deplorable battle for good! Yet we will neer be wholly free from his appreciation until we are at our groom s pess in Eden. One of my favourite parts in the verse form is the stoping. Those lines are so astonishing to me! Take me to You, incarcerate me, for I, except You enthrall me, neer shall be free, nor of all time chaste, except You rape me. Wow. It is merely through our religious captivity to Christ that we are able to be made free. One can merely hold true freedom after he relinquishes his all and resignations himself wholly. For Christ to rape us is so intimate. It s about as if He would spiritually ravish us before we can be clean and pure. I seem to be believing of it as though He is taking my virginity A ; my most sacred portion must be given over to Him A ; but it must non merely be given by me ; He must take it before I can be clean. An act that would usually be seen as vile, dirty or unhallowed, is portrayed as another manner that we are to give ourselves to Him. When God takes us to the full, in every facet of our lives, we will hold true pureness, and merely so. Batter My Heart proves to be a most instructional, introverted, spiritually disputing work of pure art. In reading this fantastic work, I have come to understand that we can non be healed until we are broken. This construct, though non wholly new to me before reading, is now made absolutely clear. I have besides come to recognize we can non lift until we have fallen ; a wholly foreign thought to me until I read this verse form. Another helpful point is that our lives can non be made new without hurting, like the birth of a kid can non be without labour strivings. The connexion between these two had neer been made until my reading. Finally, the most amazing of all the paradoxes mentioned, we are non genuinely free unless we are God # 8217 ; s slaves, and we can non be clean and pure unless He has taken us over wholly.

Native Son Argumentative Essay Example For Students
Native Son Argumentative Essay Richard Wright s Native son demonstrates how evil can be created by power driven, racist white society. His novel depicts one black man, Bigger Thomas as being forced to commit violence by his social circumstance. The story is an eye opener, one whoââ¬â¢s main purpose is to bring awareness to many blind and racist whites. In order to reveal to them that they are part of the problem. That they too play a large role in creating the very creatures they can t stand. Native son contains many messages, the novel focuses around violence, oppression, and lack of hope for the future and fear in society. Wright tries to express that Bigger Thomas is not so unique, but rather is a representative of young black men. Bigger Thomas was set up to fail from the beginning of his life in one way or another by the status allocated to him by society. It is not so hard to conceive that a man could commit horrible crimes when he was forced to grow up in a life situation which left him option less. Bigger like his fellow blacks was given a choice by the oppressive, fearful, racist white society. He could be miserable and work or be miserable and not work. Between these options there was little room for happiness, a sense of hope or the opportunity to better his situation in life. Even if Bigger did work no matter how hard he worked he could never have moved out of his neighborhood because blacks weren t allowed to move anywhere else. It was this institutional racism which prohibited Bigger to feel a sense of identity or gain feelings of individualism. The white racist societies categorized Bigger and all blacks into one group. A group that was by their views subhuman, and horrible. These views led Whites to suppress the black man to keep him forever under the white man. However, the reason for this way of thinking sprang from fear. This fear ultimately yielded a Bigger Thomas who felt he couldn t develop his own identity because no matter what, white society would just see him as a member of that black group as if they were all the same. However, this resulted in Bigger Thomas acting out and committing violent acts. This violent creature sprang from his habitat. Bigger found a sense of freedom and identity in his acts of violence. It was through this violence which forced the white race to take notice and recognize Bigger Thomas as a person. On p391 Bigger comments I didn t want to kill! â⬠¦But what I killed for I am. This quote acts as proof revealing white societies refusal to take notice of Bigger, enraged him so much that he was forced to act out and kill to gain the recognition and sense of individualism which white society had enjoyed arrogantly for more than a century. White society feared loosing their power over blacks, which is one of the main reasons why the white landlords forced blacks to pay high rents and live in the slums. By keeping the African American race in debt and constantly out of money they were forced to rely on white people and be subservient to them. The life of Bigger Thomas living in a one bedroom apartment with his whole family and rats is what most black families had to endure. This lack of space provided no room for an individual to grow and be alone. Producing a race of people who had no sense of identity. It was the white races fear which prompted them to make the black race as weak as possible. Wrights use of fear and how it is a determinate in the book is obvious and purposeful. .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 , .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 .postImageUrl , .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 , .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5:hover , .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5:visited , .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5:active { border:0!important; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5:active , .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5 .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .ua9a07a4ac6474f787c820cb46b1df0b5:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: A New World Not So Far Away There are a lot of differences between the American and Chinese culture and values EssayIt provides a more in depth look at the injustice done onto blacks by both whites and themselves. Bigger along with his fellow African Americans were also living with fear. They feared the white race, they knew they had been subjects of their circumstance and they knew that white society created and maintained that unjust circumstance at all costs. This knowledge kept blacks like Bigger Thomas down and afraid to do things like rob a white mans store and try to better there situation in life. It is through this fear which blocked the growth of Bigger Thomas s individual identity. White society did there best to suppress Bigger Thomas and everyone like him. Wright depicts religion throughout the book as a sort of opium which Bigger sees as white society again using whatever they can to suppress the blacks and throughout the book that opium is religion. Bigger comes to this conclusion on p313 where he comments to the reader that the cross was not the cross of Christ but the cross of the Ku Klux Klan. and then follows it up by shouting That s a goddamn lie! implying the cross is a lie. It is here where Bigger losses all faith in religion because he views it as a white mans tool to suppress the black man. He sees the KKK burning the cross and he starts to think that they also dominant religion. He remembers how his mother constantly goes to church and realizes that religion sedates his mother just like the white folks want it too, religion allows Biggerââ¬â¢s mother and many other black people to escape the horrible reality in which they are living because religion emphasizes how good and happy life will be after death. Bigger intelligently says on p329 all they did was sing and shout and pray all the time. And it didn t get em nothing. The white folks got everythingâ⬠¦ Bigger continues with his final statement summing up why he doesn t believe in religion and why he thinks it is a tool of the white man by declaring I wanted to be happy in this world, not out of it. Bigger dissects his own thoughts and realizes white people like all blacks to believe in religion because then they(whites) can do what they want with us(black people). Biggerââ¬â¢s realization is supposed to be a vehicle alerting whites and blacks to be more aware of their actions and how injustice comes in many forms and as Bigger Thomas thought in the form of organized religion. However, the main purpose of the novel is to show how society plays a role in the creation of a man who resents, hates and fears the white race who confine his life and make it so narrow. They tell him what to do, where he can live, and where he can work. This type of dominance produces both a person lacking a sense of identity and a person capable of horrible acts. Because Bigger Thomas was deprived of the means to live a decent life, he became a time bomb waiting to explode into a violent rage. Wright wants to reveal that society is shaping numerous Bigger Thomas s and if we want them to stop growing and murdering we have to take the first step and change the racist society which is creating these monsters who are set up and expected to fail. Creating a person who has no opportunities or hope can only produce monsters who feel they have nothing to loose but everything to gain.

This is due to the increase in interactions between various societies enhancing the aspect of globalization and multiculturalism. Historical events such as trade across the whole of Europe are among the instigating factors of the widespread economic development across Europe. In addition, this also placed Europe as a significant force of trade to reckon around the world leading to the ability of empires in Europe to access numerous products, which enhanced the development and growth of civilization in European countries. Economic structures in Europe have changed over the years, as a result of the increase in democracy and new approaches to enhance equity in the distribution of resources (Clough, Charles, 27). Land is considered a crucial factor of production. Land carries all life and economic potential of a given region. This is evidenced by the increasing values of land accruable to prime properties because of the presence of infrastructure or resources on the land. As a factor of production, land is important in the sense that it is considered as the origin of all material wealth. The value of land and the ability to access the same has changed considerably over the years because of the changes in the uses of and in the demand for the same over the years. Land in historical Europe was essentially used for agricultural purposes. This is because agriculture is the main economic means of ensuring sustenance. Land is an essential factor of production as it provides a producer with the much-needed area or space for production purposes. In addition, it also avails the much-needed resources such as mineral that are raw materials for production (Clough Charles, 33). From the perspective of a landowner, the use of land over the years has been the main of drivers of demand for land in Europe. This is attributable to the increased demand for housing, production sites and agricultural sites for production. The agricultural revolution took place in Europe as a means of transition into civilization from other means of survival such as hunting and gathering, which were unpredictable and unreliable for sustenance of large numbers of people in communities. Increase in the value of land is attributable to the increase in population sizes as well as the growth of industrialization. Industrialization is defined as the process of transition or change from an era of agrarian processes into an ear of industrial processes. The increase in population necessitates the need for ample land to provide housing to people in the society. In addition, it also leads to subsequent need for land, which is usable for set up of industries for production of consumable goods. The changes in the prices of land have resulted in wealthy individuals because of the increase in their land values. Hence, an upward change in land value usually results in the increase in wealth for a landowner. On the other hand, it also results in the inability of other individuals belonging to a low economic class to make acquisition of land. This is one of the main effects of increase in demand of land and the subsequent prices. This has resulted in the division in classes in terms of those who have the ability to make purchases of land and those who are unable to purchase of land. In addition, this is among the main reasons of the presence of a large size of the population in the world without access to ownership of land (Wasserstein, 47). PART II It is evident from available literature that a majority of Europe in the medieval years focused on means of survival. This is evidenced by the focus on agrarian activities to ensure that people had access to food for survival. Majority of labor in Europe focused on agriculture as this sector was the largest employer. Agriculture and commerce are among the main drivers of the economic changes in Europe. Agriculture necessitated the need for innovations and inventions to ensure that there was high production in the field for satisfaction of the increasing demand (Clough, Charles, 46). The industrial revolution is estimated to have taken place between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in Europe. Changes in terms of the transition from agriculture to industrialization were one of the main instigating factors of the unprecedented population growth in Europe. Industrialization has resulted in the growth and expansion of industries, such as services and manufacturing, all of which require land as a main factor of production in terms of the site of issue of the services and production of goods. Literature evidenced provides that in the period of 1870 majority of the labor force was embedded in agriculture as the primary source of income and sustenance. However, there was also dire need for transition from the traditional means of agriculture to large-scale farming for the increasing population. In addition, this resulted in the struggle for new means of economic growth. This resulted in innovations, which encouraged large-scale farming resulting in the dire need to dispose the produce because it was in surplus. This was a driver for the need by European countries to engage in commerce to ensure that they were able to access varied products and sell their produce to foreigners (Wasserstein, 52). The developments in agriculture are evidenced in the modern European societies as they are able to ensure large-scale farming at negligible costs due to innovations in farming practices. In addition, commerce is also another major aspect in the modern society in terms of the economic activities engaged by the European societies. Technological changes have enabled increased productivity in economic activities such as agriculture. Innovations are aimed at enhancing productivity and increasing the economic benefits accrued from agricultural activities. Real estate is a lucrative economic activity, which has gained large-scale acceptance. This is because of the increase in demand driven up by increases in population. Increase in population translates in a dire need for land to increase production of goods and issue of services and agricultural activities, which form a substantial economic activity around the world. Modern land prices, when compared to historical land prices could be simply termed as exorbitant (Wasserstein, 57). In addition, issues such as politics have also been factors, which have dictated the ownership and ability towards the acquisition of land by the public in Europe. Policies instated in Europe have been major determinants in terms of enhancing or restricting the ability of the populace to acquire and own land in Europe. Economic conditions have also changed leading to changes in terms of ability of the populace in Europe to acquire and own land. Increasing costs of living have resulted in a scramble for the available employment opportunities, which are essentially inadequate for an ever-increasing population (Berend, 36). Economic conditions usually translate to the effects of aspects such as rates of inflation. Inflation determines the availability of disposable incomes, which in turn affect the purchasing or buying power of the population. Hence, a decline in the inflation rates usually results in subsequent increases in the disposable incomes and thus increases in the purchasing power of the populace. This usually results in economic effects such as property booms and bubbles which if unregulated could result in collapse of real estate markets. On the other hand, high inflation usually translates to reduced disposable incomes and the ability of the population to make real estate or land purchases. Hence, a landowner has the value of his or her land stagnating or declining. Reductions in value also translate to lower rates of real estate developments and the establishment of industrial plants (Berend, 39). Socio-cultural values of land in Europe differ from one region to another. Some parts of Europe only allow ownership of land at certain areas because of historical values placed on some parts of Europe. Land, which is regarded as a heritage, is usually regarded as government property irrespective of such land hanging, been under private ownership. However, there is a transition from the traditional means of business, which focused largely on manufacturing of goods. Consumerism has changed in that, specific focus on service industries than on products consumed is needed. This is because of the changes around the world in terms of consumer preferences and changing consumer needs and focus (Pounds, 57). Land value increase is attributable to improvements in the labor sector in terms of working conditions and remuneration accruable to a laborer. In addition, this is also directly intertwined to the increasing costs of living resulting in the dire need by the labor industry to give in to the demands for higher wages. In essence, land costs and inflation are mutual events, which affect the ordinary citizen. Land costs are determined by the costs of living. In addition, the products, which are derived for use by consumers, are usually produced with the availability of land. Products such as consumables are usually the modern means of sustenance. Some are derived through agriculture whereas others are derived from production processes (Pounds, 63). Hence, increase in the value of land usually translates in the increase, in costs of production of goods such as agricultural products from farms and other manufactured goods. This is because the cost burden is usually transferred to the consumer by either the farmer or producer to the consumer. In addition, production costs of goods are increased by costs such as lease for land and purchase of the same. However, such costs are recoupable as the probability of increase in the value of land is usually high resulting in increased value of the acquired land. Focus on industry and services have resulted in high demand for land, in urban areas because of the high number of population. Service industries usually require high turnover and traffic flow of potential customers for making tier sales. Hence, this resulted in abandonment of agricultural land and new focus on the service and manufacturing industries. Hence, land value is usually different in either the urban areas or the rural areas or between less populated areas and highly populated areas. This is because of the high value attributable to large movement of population because service industries are considered as the modern day businesses (Pounds, 68). Social value of land over the years has evolved because of the changes in the social norms and values. Historically land has been associated with wealth and power. However, in the modern world land is associated with peasantry and agriculture. This is because large farms are usually held by farmers, which might require extensive labor hours to ensure maximum productivity. Hence, modern society has changed in terms of the consideration of land. The value of land is usually associated with prime locations. This is evidence of the changes in the value land in that, urban land is essential in comparison to rural land, which might be more productive than the land located in the urban areas. Landowners over the years have faced challenges brought about by changes in the ability of acquisition of land. New policies have resulted in the reduction of ability of people to won land. Restriction of ownership of land has been necessitated by the need to ensure parity in the acquisition and subsequent ownership of land in a given country. Policies are instituted to ensure the presence of transparency in terms of land ownership. Land is historically an asset, which has been associated with graft in numerous countries around the world. It is also an asset, which has the potency to result in conflict, in the case of disputes over land. Due to the changes in governance structures, land disputes are on the decline. In addition, there are provided avenues for settlement of disputes such as through mediation teams and the main avenue, which is through law courts (Broadberry, Kevin, 47). However, the value of land is constant in that, it is associated with wealth but from a different perspective. Land is valued in terms of its accessibility and proximity of social services or amenities and to the urban areas. Changes in society such as increased rural to urban migration have resulted in the decline in the value of the land in rural areas. This has resulted in appending of high values on land and subsequent developments in urban areas because of the high demand of such land and the scarcity in terms of availability. This represents an elaborate demand and supply chain. The move towards industrialization was influenced by the availability of land and the presence of resources for production. Landowners during the historical period were forced to give up prime land for the establishment of industries and extraction of raw materials for the industries, which sought to satisfy an insatiable consumer need for the products. Additionally, this resulted in appreciation of land value and thus subsequent high demand for land (Brodaberry, 67). In conclusion, land is a primary factor of production as well as for economic development. This is because society appends high value to land as it provides raw materials, goods such as agricultural products, and provides for sites to establish industries and premises for issue of services. Land in Europe was historically sued for agriculture as the main economic activity. However, the economic activities in Europe have changed over the years resulting in a focus on new activities such as the service and manufacturing industries. This is because of the changes in social norms, values and resulting change in consumer behavior.
